Sioe Sir Meirion / Meirioneth County Show

About

The Meirioneth County Show will return in 2026 with the event set to be held in Dolgellau, bringing together farmers, producers and families from across the region for one of North Wales’ most anticipated rural celebrations. Taking place at Llwyn Fields on the outskirts of the town, the annual show continues a long-standing tradition of showcasing the very best of agriculture, local enterprise and community spirit in Meirionnydd.

A key date in the rural calendar, the show features a full programme of livestock competitions, including cattle, sheep and equestrian classes, giving farmers the opportunity to present their finest animals.

While livestock and crops remain at the core of the event, the Meirioneth Show has evolved into a broader celebration of rural culture. Visitors can expect:

Horticultural and produce displays, showcasing the best of Welsh gardens and local food production.

Classic and vintage machinery exhibitions, giving a nod to agricultural heritage and engineering.

Crafts and home industries, with stalls selling handmade goods, art and local artisan products.

Demonstrations and educational stands, often focusing on farming techniques, sustainability and rural skills.

The show’s atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, drawing both agricultural professionals and families looking for an enjoyable day out in the countryside.
