Accommodation with Hot Tubs

A hot tub in the Welsh countryside is hard to beat on a cold evening. Watch the stars come out over the Cambrian Mountains or the Brecon Beacons while the water does its work. Across Mid Wales, you will find lodges, cottages and converted barns with private outdoor hot tubs, set in places where the only sounds are owls and running water.

Lodges and Cabins

Purpose-built lodges with hot tubs are scattered across Powys, Ceredigion and Southern Snowdonia. Many are set on small rural estates with views over farmland or woodland. They tend to sleep between two and six people, with open-plan living areas, log burners and outdoor decking where the hot tub sits. Some sites have additional facilities like fire pits, games rooms or on-site walks.

Cottages and Farmhouses

Converted stone cottages and farmhouses with hot tubs added to the garden or courtyard offer more traditional character. Thick walls, slate floors and beamed ceilings inside, and a hot tub outside under the stars. You will find these in rural locations near Rhayader, Llanidloes, Lampeter and across the Brecon Beacons. Many welcome dogs.

Where to Look

The area around Rhayader and the Elan Valley has several properties with hot tubs, well placed for walking and red kite country. Near Builth Wells and Brecon, lodges with hot tubs sit close to the Brecon Beacons National Park. On the Ceredigion coast, some cottages near Aberaeron and New Quay combine sea views with hot tub stays. In Montgomeryshire, the Severn valley and the area around Lake Vyrnwy have options for couples and families.

Good to Know

Hot tub properties book up quickly during school holidays and winter weekends. Midweek breaks often offer better availability. Most hot tubs are private, meaning they sit on the property's own decking rather than being shared. Check with the owner about maintenance schedules, as some hot tubs are drained and cleaned between guests.
