Dwr Y Felin Log Cabins

About

Ty Afal, Ty Ceirios, and Ty Peren are traditional Estonian log houses located just a short 5-minute walk away from the village of Carno in Powys, mid Wales. These hand-crafted log houses have unique designs and furnishings, and can accommodate 2-4 guests per cabin.

New in 2024 we now welcome one well behaved dog at our Ty Afal log cabin, so you can bring the whole family on holiday!

Nestled in their own secluded spot on a working family farm, each cabin boasts a private hot tub on a large decked area, perfect for stargazing with no light pollution to interfere. These log cabins are eco-friendly with features such as ground-source heating, solar panels, and a clean water filter drainage system. Recycling is encouraged, with on-site facilities for paper, plastics, and glass.

Each cabin has three bedrooms and three shower rooms, as well as a stylish kitchen, open-plan dining area, and lounge. The log cabins are perfect for a romantic break, long-awaited family reunion, or relaxed family holiday, and are also great for a weekend away with friends. Ty Peren is an ideal honeymoon destination, and the balcony is perfect for enjoying a breakfast of coffee and croissants with beautiful views all around.

Quality bed linen is provided, with cots and high chairs available upon request.

For couples, Dwr Y Felin offers a special two-night weekend break. This is an ideal escape for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, whether it's for an anniversary, honeymoon, proposal, birthday, or pre-baby break. The private hot tub is perfect for stargazing and creating a romantic atmosphere.

For those who want to get back to nature, the log cabins are situated on a part of the family farm where sheep and cattle graze alongside the fence. A short stroll from the cabin takes you down to Lover's Lake (named by ITV2 The Cabins dating show when filming) complete with a jetty. There are also nature walks around the log cabins in the woodland with a stream. Ample car parking is available for two vehicles per cabin.

Only a five-minute walk from the log cabins is the village of Carno, where you will find a Spar shop selling locally sourced produce and a the village pub The Aleppo where food is served daily. There are many activities available locally, including golf, fishing, sailing, quad biking, mountain biking, and walking. The Mid Wales coast is only a 30-minute drive from Carno, and there are numerous Welsh market towns to explore.

In summary, Ty Afal, Ty Ceirios, and Ty Peren are the perfect destination for anyone looking to get away from it all and enjoy a tranquil and relaxing break in a beautiful natural setting.
