Victorian Train Day | Talyllyn Railway

About

The Talyllyn Railway is unique in that both original locomotives and all the passenger carriages that were built for the opening of the Railway in the mid-1860s survive to this day and are still in regular use, so let us invite you to step back in time to the Era of Queen Victoria and travel through untouched and unparalleled Snowdonian scenery aboard The Victorian Train.

The train will be hauled by No.1 ‘Tal-y-llyn’ or No.2 ‘Dolgoch’, two of the oldest working steam locomotives in the World.

The Victorian Train departs Tywyn Wharf Station at 11am and at 2:10pm.

Along the way there will be a stop at Dolgoch Station where you can alight from the train and watch the engine take water from the original slate water column, fed straight from the impressive Dolgoch Falls.

Each Victorian Train day will be a little different rom the last, with different combintions of rolling stock utilised – FURTHER DETAILS
