Taliesin in Welsh Poetry: ‘A Multitude of Forms’ - Professor Emeritus Dafydd Johnston FBA

Dafydd Johnston is Emeritus Professor and former Director of the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies in Aberystwyth. His many publications on Welsh literature include editions and studies of medieval poetry and an introductory survey, The Literature of Wales. His lecture will explore the many uses of Taliesin as a figure of poetic authority and inspiration from the Middle Ages through to modern times.
