About

The Angel in Pontneddfechan (Pontneathvaughan) is a traditional, country pub at the foot of the waterfall trail in Glynneath, Wales, offering a welcoming place to eat, drink and meet.  It is a community-focused pub serving traditional homecooked meals and perfect cask ales alongside your classic beers and ciders, perfectly crafted coffees and non alcoholic alternatives.

You can expect a friendly atmosphere in a traditional pub setting and a space where locals and visitors mix comfortably.  Various exciting events are held throughout the year including weekly quiz nights, monthly motor meets, regular craft workshops and live accoustic evenings to name a few.  Updates, events and opening information are shared via their Facebook page, helping you plan your visit.

Being positioned right next to the waterfall trail, The Angel offers its own car park for its customers only, a dedicated space to those with muddy boots and canine companions; with dog blankets, a doggy menu and treats always available and the same menu offered throughout both rooms and outside ion the large patio area.

It suits couples, groups of friends and anyone looking for a relaxed, informal place to enjoy a drink or decent homecooked meal and participate in community events. A straightforward, welcoming stop while exploring the local area where no one is a stranger. Visit their Facebook page for the latest updates and events!
