Hergest Croft Gardens Spring Plant Fair

About

The Spring Plant Fair at Hergest Croft Gardens, is one of the region’s most popular horticultural events. Set within the gardens’ beautiful 70-acre landscape, the fair brings together plant lovers, specialist growers and gardening enthusiasts for a full day celebrating plants and spring colour.

The 2026 Spring Plant Fair will take place on Monday 4 May 2026 (Early May Bank Holiday) from 10:00 to 16:00. This long-running annual event marks its 30th anniversary in 2026 and continues to attract visitors from across the West Midlands and Welsh borders.

More than 65 specialist nurseries are expected to attend, offering a wide selection of rare and unusual plants, shrubs and trees. Visitors can speak directly with expert growers, get practical gardening advice and discover new varieties to add to their own gardens. The timing of the fair coincides with peak spring colour at Hergest, including rhododendrons, camellias, tulips and other seasonal highlights.

Admission to the fair  includes full access to the gardens for the day, allowing visitors to explore the extensive grounds, national tree collections and scenic views towards the Black Mountains. Adult tickets are  priced at £9.50, with free entry for children under 16.

Comfortable footwear is recommended, as the gardens are extensive and include natural terrain. Arriving earlier in the day often gives the best choice of plants available for purchase.
