ABOUT NEWTOWN
Newtown, known in Welsh as 'Y Drenewydd', is the largest town in Powys (pop.13,000) lies on the upper reaches of the River Severn.
Newtown provides the ideal base to stay for a few days to relax, unwind and explore the surrounding countryside. You'll find many local walks in the area including gentle town and nature trails to longer walking and cycling routes

The small village of Berriew located mid way between Newtown and Welshpool and is home to the Andrew Logan Museum. Andrew is a celebrated performance artist/sculptor and originator of the Alternative Miss World.
