About
Nyth Robin is a small, friendly, eco touring site, just outside the pretty seaside village of Aberdovey in mid-Wales, and within the Snowdonia National Park. Secluded site set in 7 acres of private woodland with short walks .
Relax and enjoy the surrounding natural environment. Parts of the woodland have been recognised as ancient woodland by the Woodland Trust, with oaks and ancient hazel hedgerows.
The 9 touring pitches all have electric hook up. There are 4 Lower Terrace gravel pitches which are a good size and suitable for caravans, motorhomes or campervans up to 7m. The 4 Upper Terrace pitches are a bit bigger and grassier, and offer a bit more space so suitable for all unit types up to 8m in length. There is also a single gravel pitch for small campervans or motorhomes up to 6m. Trailer tents and roof top tents are also welcome on all pitches.
There is easy access from the pitches to the well kept facilities which include unisex toilets and hot showers, family/ easy access bathroom, chemical toilet and portable grey water emptying points, as well as drinking water taps and a washing up area.
At Nyth Robin the owners Sadie & Grant are keen to look after the environment around them. The hot water is heated via solar panels (don't worry we there is a backup if the sun doesn't shine enough!) and they encourage recycling and collect compost food waste too.
Nyth Robin is a dog-friendly site and pooches enjoy the short woodland walks. There’s also year-round access to dog-friendly beach areas in Aberdyfi.
Nyth Robin is great for families as well and kids love exploring the woodlands and having a go on the tree swings.
On site there is also a wood-fired pizza oven which Sadie & Grant fire up every Saturday in school holidays and busy weekends, plus Wednesdays in summer holidays too.
The area is haven for wildlife and great for bird spotting/ listening. You can go to sleep to the sound of the hooting tawny owl and wake up to the dawn chorus.
And for those without their own van, Nyth Robin also offers fabulous glamping holidays in a variety of accommodation options. You can choose from family-friendly bell tent, glampipng dome, a handcrafted yurt, our cosy cabin, a unique vintage caravan or a quirky converted horsebox!
Aberdyfi is just 3 miles away from site and offers good old-fashioned seaside fun. Kids will love a day on the sandy beach and crab-ing off the pier .. Like all good seaside villages, Aberdyfi has great ice cream and fish and chips. There are also art galleries, gift shops, cafes, great restaurants and pubs.
Away from Aberdyfi, there are plenty of activities to keep the young and the old entertained.
