Glamping in Mid Wales

If you like the idea of sleeping surrounded by countryside but prefer a proper bed and a hot shower, Mid Wales has you covered. Glamping sites here range from yurts in meadows to cabins with wood-fired hot tubs, from shepherds huts on hillsides to pods in the forest.

What Types of Glamping Are Available?

The choice is wider than you might think. Yurts are the classic glamping option, round canvas structures with rugs, beds and often a log burner. Cabins and lodges offer more permanent structures, some with full kitchens and en-suite bathrooms. Shepherds huts are the compact option, often beautifully fitted with a bed, small kitchen and countryside views from the door. Pods are timber structures, weatherproof and cosy. A few sites have treehouses, raised among the canopy.

Where to Glamp in Mid Wales

The Brecon Beacons has the highest concentration of glamping sites, with yurts and cabins set against the mountain backdrop. The Ceredigion coast has sites within reach of the beaches. The Cambrian Mountains and Radnorshire have more remote options where the quiet is the whole point.

What Facilities Can I Expect?

Most glamping sites provide proper beds with bedding, heating of some kind, cooking facilities and access to a shower block or private bathroom. Many have hot tubs, fire pits and outdoor seating. Some are fully off-grid, which is part of the appeal. Others have WiFi and electric charging. Check individual listings for specifics.
