About

We are the ultimate CLAY TO KILN experience in Mid Wales, working with British stoneware and earthenware, teaching all skills and ages how to make their own work. Alex Allpress and wife Blue MacAskill both artists since 1999, running their own successful studios in the heart of Wales. We are bespoke to you and run workshops and lessons on the wheel and hand building that suits you and your friends and what you want to spend time doing. We have 5 STAR ratings on Tripadvisor and Google Business and have been running our studio and school together for 20 years.

The pottery does not use moulds and pre-fired pottery to glaze. This is the real thing! When you ring to book, you can arrange a bespoke 2 hours, or FULL day for you and partner or family to have a great FULL EXPERIENCE of trying throwing on the potters wheel, hand building with coil or slab work.

Then moving on to extensive palette of slips and glazes, Alex would like you to relax, create and enjoy the wee family studio and make yourself at home.

Alex Allpress Pottery Experience Days are as much about enjoying making and learning a new skill, as having your work fired and using it when you get back home. Call direct to book and make your holiday in Wales one to really treasure and remember for ever.

Workshops: throwing / hand building / tiles / mugs / bowls / firings / glazing
Ages and Skills from 2-102, Beginners to Advanced.
