4x4 Wales – Guided 4x4 Tours & Self-Guided Adventures

Discover Wales from behind the wheel of your own 4×4 with 4x4 Wales, specialists in guided green lane adventures and self-guided 4×4 routes across Wales.

With more than 35 years' experience exploring Wales by 4×4, we help owners discover some of the country's most spectacular landscapes, historic routes and legal green lanes.

Guided 4x4 Tours

Bring your own suitable 4×4 and join one of our professionally guided adventures through Mid Wales and beyond.

Our routes combine legal green lanes with quiet Welsh roads, spectacular mountain scenery, historic locations and carefully selected viewpoints.

Tours are suitable for vehicles including the INEOS Grenadier, Land Rover Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi L200, Isuzu D-Max and other capable 4×4 vehicles.

Choose from:

Group 4x4 Tours
Join a small group of fellow 4×4 owners and explore some of our favourite routes across Wales.

Group tours start from £120 per vehicle per day including VAT.

Private 4x4 Tours
For a more personal experience, book a private guided tour exclusively for you, your family, friends or 4×4 group.

Private tours can be tailored around your experience, vehicle and the areas of Wales you would particularly like to explore.

Self-Guided 4x4 Adventure Packs

Prefer to explore independently?

Our 4x4 Wales Adventure Packs provide carefully researched self-guided routes that allow you to discover Wales in your own time.

Each Adventure Pack combines a downloadable GPX route with an Adventure Guide containing route information, points of interest, suggested stops and useful information for your journey.

Routes include adventures through areas such as Strata Florida, the Cambrian Mountains and Elan Valley, with further routes being added to the collection.

Adventure Packs can also be combined to create longer 4×4 weekends and touring adventures across Wales.

Explore Wales Differently

Whether you join one of our guided tours or choose a self-guided Adventure Pack, the aim is simple: to help you get more from your 4×4 while discovering parts of Wales that many visitors never experience.

Expect spectacular scenery, historic routes, remote landscapes and a memorable journey through Wales.

Your vehicle. Your adventure. Wales waiting to be explored.

Advance booking is required for guided tours.
