Y Drenewydd | Newtown
This 2.5 circular mile walk starts in the centre of Newtown and largely circles around the western boundaries of Newtown. It will take you along the River Severn and has some road and off-road walking.
Sustrans route 81 or "Lon Cambria" is an East-West cycle route which crosses the Cambrian Mountains and heads towards Shrewsbury and beyond.
Dolgellau
Three walking trails are waymarked and start from Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre car park.
More walking trails start from our other car parks within Coed y Brenin Forest Park.
Lake Vyrnwy
Dyfnant and Vyrnwy Forests in north Powys which is renowned for rolling hills, lush green valleys and picturesque farmsteads and villages. The Forest caters for horse riding and carriage driving as well as walking and picnic areas.
Aberystwyth
Just three miles from Aberystwyth, Gogerddan is an easy-to-find woodland with a small picnic site. The woodland is carpeted with bluebells in spring. The short walking trail is signposted from the car park.
