Each year sees the Aberystwyth Christmas Tree lit up to celebrate the arrival of the Lantern Parade which makes its way down from St Michael’s Church, Laura Place to Owain Glyndwr Square. The procession is led by a specially chosen Mary and Joseph each Christmas with followers carrying their wonderful lantern creations glimmering and shining like stars in the dark evening.

In readiness for the Lantern Parade, weekend workshops are held which are open to all, at no charge for entrance or materials, to enable both children and adults alike to create their lanterns with expert tuition on hand.

- Entertainment on Baker Street 12:00 - 17:00
- Lantern Parade from St Michael’s at 18:00, followed by carols and entertainment at Owain Glyndwr Square, and turning on the tree!
