The festive season gets underway in Aberystwyth with a day of Christmas celebrations in the town centre. Organised by Menter Aberystwyth, the event brings together local traders, performers and visitors for a day filled with Christmas spirit.

From midday, visitors can browse the Christmas food and craft market, with stalls offering seasonal goodies, handmade items and gift ideas. There will also be live entertainment during the afternoon, providing plenty to enjoy as the town gets ready for Christmas.

One of the highlights will be the lantern parade, which is due to leave St Michael’s Church at 5.30pm and make its way to Owain Glyndŵr Square. The evening will continue with Christmas carols and entertainment before the town’s Christmas tree lights are switched on.

The event offers a lovely opportunity to support local businesses, enjoy the festive atmosphere and celebrate the beginning of Christmas in Aberystwyth with family and friends.
