Details
RSPB Ynys-Hir nature reserve is wildlife haven in the heart of Mid Wales on The Wales Coastal Way located within the UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere. Enjoy the carpets of bluebells in the woods at Spring, look for otters from the river hide or listen to the call of the curlew over the marshes in winter.
Enjoy coffee and cake or ice cream in the Visitor Centre and families have a go at a Wildlife Challange or hire Wildlife Discovery kits.
There are two main circular nature trails: 1.5 miles and 3 miles. Both are unsuitable for wheelchairs. One route is without stiles and the longer route is rugged and variations on each can be done to shorten them. There are benches and hides along the walks.
5 viewing hides. 3 different trail routes. Toilets, Visitor centre with light refreshments and exhibitions. Picnic areas. Binoculars to hire, family activity packs to hire.
