Just 11 miles from the historic town of Brecon with its array of shops, galleries, museums and restaurants and bistros. 6 miles to the literary town of Hay on Wye which is just fabulous, with its book shops, independent boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants – don’t forget the famous Hay on Wye festival which is hosted each year in June and offers entertainment in abundance. Angel Cottage is a small distance from the local riding school for those wanting to trek over the Hay Bluff (please book directly with the riding centre).
