Brecon Mountain Railway is adding an extra helping of Christmas magic to its timetable in 2026 with The Polar Express Train Ride,an immersive festive experience inspired by the popular Christmas story.

The adventure begins at Pant Station, where passengers prepare to board the train for a journey packed with festive fun. During the ride, families can enjoy lively performances from characters, seasonal music and entertainment, along with hot chocolate and a sweet treat. The famous story also forms part of the experience as the journey towards the North Pole unfolds.

One of the highlights is the chance to meet Santa and his elves, with each passenger receiving a silver sleigh bell as a special keepsake from their Christmas adventure. The celebrations continue on the return journey with plenty of festive atmosphere, songs and opportunities for the whole family to join in.

Running on selected dates from 13 November to 23 December 2026, the experience lasts approximately two hours from beginning to end. With a combination of heritage railway travel, storytelling and Christmas entertainment, it promises to be a memorable seasonal outing for children and grown-ups alike.
