Brandy House Cottages

About

In its idyllic rural setting nestled into the hills above the village of Felindre, The Brandy House, once a traditional hill farm, now a small-holding is the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing break. Delightful bridle and footpaths lead from the doorstep up on to wonderful open hills where there are endless opportunities for walking, cycling and riding.

We offer you quality accommodation in our cottages, beautifully converted from a traditional stone barn, which have their own secluded garden including patio and a charming terraced area.

Tastefully decorated and furnished, the interiors are enriched with many exposed stone walls and traditionally made oak 'ledge and brace' doors.

Each is self-contained, has oil fired central heating and double glazing throughout. Barn end , graded for B&B has 3 bedrooms and the Tractor Shed 2 with spa bath.

We have a drying room for anyone arriving (or aquiring) wet kit and washdown facilities for cyclists. Stabling and grazing for guests' own horses. Access onto 5000 acres of crown nature reserve, perfect for walking, cycling and riding.

Map & Directions

Road Directions

The Brandy House is on the edge of the village of Felindre which is 10 miles from Knighton and 12 miles from Newtown on the B4355.

If you are approaching from Knighton, turn up a sharp left as you pass the speed limit sign on reaching the village, opposite the village sign and our own Brandy House Farm sign. Continue up the lane over the two cattle-grids and we are at the top about 150 metres from the main road.

If you are approaching from Newtown, leave on the A483 (signed Llandrindod Wells) to Dolfor. Turn left onto the B4355. Go through the village of Felindre and as you leave it, turn up to your right where you will see the Brandy House Farm Sign on your left just before the end of speed limit sign . Continue up the lane over the two cattle-grids and we are at the top about 150 metres from the main road.

If you are using a sat Nav or google maps and are approaching us from the North they will more than likely take you the shorter scenic route through tiny and steep lanes missing out Newtown.........If you are bringing horses we would recommend that you go to Newtown and follow the directions above!!
