About
Mountain Bike Wales offers expertly guided mountain biking experiences and cycling adventures across the wild and varied landscapes of Mid Wales and beyond. Based in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains, this specialist guiding company creates immersive journeys designed to showcase some of the best off road riding Wales has to offer.
Their experiences focus on exploring remote bridleways, open moorland, forest trails and natural singletrack, allowing riders to experience Wales at a slower and more connected pace. Routes are carefully planned to reflect rider ability, conditions and the character of the landscape, making each trip both rewarding and memorable.
What Mountain Bike Wales Offers
Mountain Bike Wales specialises in guided mountain biking experiences ranging from single day rides to longer multi day adventures. These experiences are designed for riders who want to explore beyond trail centres and discover the quieter, more remote landscapes of Mid Wales.
Rides are led by experienced local guides who share their knowledge of the terrain, history and culture of the areas being explored, adding depth and context to each journey.

Road Directions
By car: If travelling by car and using a SatNav, our postcode is SY19 7BU. We would suggest driving via Llanidloes or Llanbrynmair if travelling from the east. A GPS can often send you via Trefeglwys and some very tight, narrow and steep lanes. Difficult to drive when you don't know the road.
By public transport: If travelling by train, there are two stations nearby. Both Caersws and Machynlleth are approx. 15 minutes away. It's roughly a 4 hour journey from central London changing at Birmingham New Street if travelling from South East. Trains run every hour from Shrewsbury.
If travelling by bus, there are bus stations in Llanidloes, Newtown and Machynlleth. The Traws Cymru service travels through Wales along the coast and A470 on routes T4/5/6. Visit www.trawscymru.info for details.
The nearest railway station is Caersws, which is 7 miles away.
