Details
To protect our staff and our visitors during the Covid-19 Coronavirus crisis, Y Crochan Cafe and Bwtri Y Crochan Welsh food and drink shop are now closed. We will open again when it is deemed safe. Please keep safe everyone and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Y Crochan is light, bright and modern with views all around of the densely wooded hillsides of the Corris valley. It's these hillsides which hide the secret underground world which you explore with Corris Mine Explorers.
Y Crochan uses lots of delicious local produce to create a tasty menu with a Welsh twist. Look out for the monthly specials made with the freshest seasonal produce.
There's an additional outdoor seating area which overlooks the historic village of Corris, largely built to house the miners working in the Braich Goch mine. You will see a plethora of slate roofs on the village's buildings.
Linked through an archway from Y Crochan is our Welsh food and drink shop - The Larder. The shelves are stocked with delicious products which have been grown, reared or produced in Wales. Perfect for finding a special taste of Wales to take back home.
Please note that there are toilet facilities above ground at the Corris Craft Centre, from where your trip starts. However, there are no toilet facilities underground.
Opening details
Normally Y Crochan Cafe and Bwtri y Crochan open daily from Easter to the beginning of November from 10am to 5pm. We are also open during the run up to Christmas.
