Details
Aberystwyth’s Old College on the Aberystwyth Promenade was built in 1795 by John Nash and is a Grade I listed building. It is the site of the original University of Aberystwyth which was founded in 1872, and became the first established university in the whole of Wales.
Today the Old College hosts meetings, exhibitions and events and it's conical spires, castellated towers and gargoyled parapets are a notable landmark on the Aberystwyth Promenade. The Old College forms part of the Aberystwyth University.
