The Pilgrim on the Hill

About

Following the success of last year's Walking Festival at Strata Florida, we are excited to welcome everyone back. It was a weekend full of people enjoying the local scenery and fresh air, of all abilities. We have added new walks too, all with guides who are able to assist and answer questions along the way.

There is no set fee for joining us in September, but donations are welcome, cash or contactless payments accepted.
The walks range from Gentler, to Moderate to Hard, spanning from 13km to 1.6km distances. All who attend will have the option of attending a service in the beautiful St Mary's Church on the Sunday, with the weekend coming to a close with a walk up to the iconic Pilgrim on top of the hill. In unfavourable or exceptional weather conditions the scheduled walk may be amended, re-routed or even cancelled on the day to ensure walkers' safety. There are walks for all, so please choose which you are able to do, and most importantly, which you would enjoy the most.

The physical and mental wellbeing impact of walking is immeasurable, whether you do it alone or as a social activity, all are welcome to join us and have a lovely time. This is a wonderful opportunity to try something new, or challenge yourself, in a supportive and safe environment, led by experts.

Registration for the 2025 walking festival is now open. Closing date for Registration will be on: the 15th of September.

Visit our website for more information and sign up to join us.
