Details
Formally the Davies Memorial Gallery which was built in 1967 with a legacy left by Gwendoline and Margaret Davies, renowned art collectors and benefactors of the arts in Wales, The Oriel Davies Gallery opended in 1985 and named in recognition of the Davies sisters.
Today the gallery is a key public art gallery of Mid Wales based in Newtown; presenting world-class, thought-provoking and challenging art by national and international artists in an environment that is welcoming, engaging, informative and free.
