Visitor Centre

SY20 8TA

The RSPB Ynys-Hir Visitor Centre is a cosy log cabin with a wood stove to warm yourself up by on colder days.
With views over the pools and at least 15 species of birds seen from the windows on the feeders you can easily spend time here. "Bird Friendly" shade grown fresh coffee is served and locally made cake available.

Throughout the year Wildlife Artists exhibit in the centre and there is an Autumn Craft Fair of local wares. Binoculars and wildlife guide sheets are availble to hire as well as activities for families and children. Hire a pond dipping kit to see what lives in the pools or follow the brass rubbings trail. Friendly staff always on hand to help and answer any queries.

The RSPB Ynys-Hir nature reserve is wildlife haven in the heart of Mid Wales. Located within the UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere, Ynys-hir has miles of trails, 7 view hides and has been awarded Ramsar, Natura 2000 and SSSI status.
