Corris Craft Centre is the best Craft Centre in Wales and home to 9 independent craft workshops where you can see many of the designer-makers at work.

About

Corris Craft Centre sits in the foothills of southern Eryri (Snowdonia) near Machynlleth, Mid Wales. It is home to nine independent craft workshops where you can meet the makers, watch them at work and choose from their original designs. Crafts include natural forest furniture, glass sculptures, hand carved candles, herbal lotions and remedies, pet portraits and dog accessories, Celtic and contemporary jewellery, ceramics and the famous smoking dragons, multi award winning Dyfi Distillery gins and, brand new for 2026, crafty gaming.

Many studios offer hands-on fun activities such as pottery painting, candle dipping, herbal crafting, furniture building and crafty gaming fun, ideal for a relaxed day out with help and advice from the talented designer-makers. The Corris Café serves fresh, seasonal food and drink with vegetarian and vegan options, while the Welsh food and drink shop stocks local produce and hampers to take home. Well behaved dogs are welcome in all nine craft workshops, the Corris Café and the Welsh Deli.

The Craft Centre is also the starting point for King Arthur’s Labyrinth, The Welsh Legends Maze (dogs are welcome in this outdoor maze) and Corris Mine Explorers, all award winning attractions. It sits within the Mach Loop low flying training area, and the café’s outdoor seating and information display provide a convenient viewing spot for RAF and USAF aircraft. Check the website for current opening times, activity availability and booking details.
