King Arthur’s Labyrinth is an underground storytelling adventure at Corris, near Machynlleth in Mid Wales. You sail by boat through the magical veil of an underground waterfall and into a world of Welsh legends filled with dragons, giants, fierce battles and King Arthur himself.

Once your boat docks, a hooded Dark Age boatman leads you through the winding tunnels and vast caverns of the Labyrinth. Along the way, some of Wales’s earliest stories come to life with light, sound and special effects. Hear about the Battle of Camlan where Arthur faces his nephew Mordred, discover the red and white dragons fighting beneath King Gwrtheyrn’s crumbling castle, and learn how the powers of Bran the Blessed were said to protect the land long after his time. These and other tales build up to the Dragon River finale, where you may disturb the Guardians of the Labyrinth.

Cool when it is hot and dry when it is wet, King Arthur’s Labyrinth is a good option in all weathers. The stories suit a wide range of ages, from school‑age children who enjoy the drama to adults who want to explore the roots of Welsh myth and the Arthurian legends.

Above ground, your visit continues with The Welsh Legends Maze where more characters and stories wait around each corner. Follow the twisting paths, collect clues and try one of the three quizzes, with options for younger children, older children and adults. Dogs welcome in this outdoor maze.

King Arthur’s Labyrinth and The Welsh Legends Maze both start from the Corris Craft Centre. Here you will find nine craft workshops with designer‑makers creating ceramics, candles, jewellery, multi award-winning craft gin and more. You can watch them at work, buy unique pieces to take home or get hands‑on and make your own crafts in selected workshops. There is free all day parking and dogs are welcome.

Right next to the entrance is the Corris Café, serving an all‑day menu that uses Welsh ingredients and local recipes. Expect freshly prepared meals, cakes and bakes, with bread made in‑house and proper coffee served by trained baristas. Families are well looked after with children’s choices, and there is a good range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten‑free options. Seating is available indoors and outdoors, there is free WiFi and dogs are welcome.

Beside the café, the Welsh food and drink shop is stocked with local produce often sourced from within a few miles of Corris. Shelves are filled with Welsh honey, cheeses, chilli products, preserves, biscuits, cakes, chocolates, ciders, beers, wines, whisky, coffee, teas and more. You can choose your own selection for a Welsh hamper that is packed for you to take away, ideal as a gift or a taste of your day out once you're home.
