The Welshpool Country and Western Festival has been entertaining folks over the weekend of the third Sunday in July.
After Covid closed us in 2020 and 2021 we are back in 2022, gates opening at noon on Thursday 14th July for our weekend campers but the action starts in the beer tent on Friday evening. The action then transfers to the main stage on Saturday and Sunday.
Don't miss the morning opening ceremony (Saturday and Sunday) by our Westerners who also close the Festival at 7pm on Sunday evening.
Full details on our web site - a search for Welshpool Country and Western will find us at the top of the results
Tickets available on line (early bird available before 31st May 2022) After 10th July only available on gate
The festival is run by the Heulwen Trust (a Charity- see heulwentrust.co.uk). All profits of the festival (not just a token donation) are used to help us to run our narrow boats on the Montgomery Canal where we offer free canal trips for people who are less abled whether suffering from a problem of the body or the mind . For you to experience a narrow boat trip during the festival, our narrow boats will be moored nearby and we will be running half hourly trips during the day.
Incidentally if you are interested in helping our volunteers, you would be more than welcome just contact us
Festival Location: Powis Castle Showfield SY21 8RF
We can cater for groups of up to 12 passengers on each of two boats. Our canal boats are designed to be used by disabled people with wheelchair access and disabled toilets.
