The Nags Head Inn

About

The Nags Head Inn is a Grade II listed coaching inn that has been thoughtfully renovated to create a spacious venue with real effort to bring together the traditional and the contemporary. You can expect five star customer service at this AA Pub of the Year (Wales) 2018-9.

Our restaurant, a beautiful, light and airy room with an oak floor, beams and full height ceiling. At the end of the restaurant, double doors lead you directly onto the patio where you can enjoy the sun on our terraced garden.
Our 5* awards and AA Rosette for our restaurant are awarded to us for; sourcing the best local produce, for preparing all of our dishes on the premises and even growing our own herbs on the patio.
We serve food all day from 12 noon.

We showcase local beer from our surrounding breweries, such as Montys, Three Tuns, Clun & Salopian.
Our wines are hand picked by experts & we work closely with our wine merchant, Tanners of Shrewsbury, to compliment our seasonal menus.
Some of our speciality drinks include a wide array of Gins, Cocktails & Whiskies.
We serve morning coffee from 8am everyday using freshly ground coffee beans.

Our pet-friendly Inn has been awarded five stars from both the AA & Visit Wales for the five beautiful en-suite bedrooms, designed by the Welsh renowned Laura Ashley’s furnishings & fashion.
The area, the restaurant and the rooms make The Nags Head the place to stay whether on business, game shooting locally, visiting family and friends, exploring nearby historic sites or visiting the unspoilt countryside.

Local Attractions include the market towns of Welshpool & Newtown, Powis Castle, Lake Vrynwy, Montgomery & its castle, Shrewsbury. The Llanfair steam railway, The Severn Way Walk and Montgomery Canal pass by the front door.
