The Working and Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales exists to promote, protect and showcase traditional working and pastoral livestock breeds that have shaped Welsh farming and rural life. The association brings together breeders, producers and supporters who are committed to maintaining strong bloodlines, functional traits, and the long term sustainability of native and traditional breeds.
The association is best known for its livestock showing, breed promotion and educational work, often at major agricultural events across Wales. Its activities help highlight the value of working and pastoral breeds not just as heritage animals, but as practical, resilient livestock suited to Welsh landscapes and farming systems.
