Podium finish Womens Tour of Britain 2025

About

Stage 3 of the 2026 Women's Tour of Britain is set to take place on 21 August and will start in the town of Mold before heading across North Wales to finish on Great Orme. The stage is expected to be one of the most challenging and important days of the race because it combines rolling terrain with a demanding uphill finish overlooking the coast.

After leaving Mold, the riders will travel west through the North Wales countryside. As the race approaches the coast, the route is likely to become more selective, with stronger climbers and all-round riders looking to position themselves for the final ascent. The exposed roads near the sea could also play a role if windy conditions create splits in the peloton.

The finish on the Great Orme is expected to be the decisive feature of the stage. Rather than ending with a flat sprint, the riders will have to tackle a sustained climb, rewarding those who can maintain a high pace uphill. Time gaps between the leading contenders could emerge here, making this a key stage for the overall standings.

Full route details, timings, and spectator information will be published by the organisers ahead of the event.
