About
IRONMAN Wales takes place annually in the West Wales town of Tenby which comes alive to a stunning sunrise swim on Tenby's sandy North Beach, wild bike course scenery along Pembrokeshire coastline, and a fan-filled town-centre run in Tenby.
With world-renowned spectator support and epic courses, Ironman Wales is the race that legends are made of. Hosted in the Welsh seaside village of Tenby, Pembrokeshire, athletes leave as friends in this unique, inviting and truly special destination nicknamed the "Iron Town".
Ironman Wales is one of the most challenging bike and run courses on the Ironman calendar and Tenby's North Beach provides the most spectacular swim location (possibly of any Ironman event) and the inspiration gained from one of the most vocal and enthusiastically-supported events with tens of thousands of spectators who turn out for race day on all three disciplines.
Pembrokeshire is the host county for Ironman Wales and is rightly famous for its coastline, protected by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Parks Authority, scenic countryside and more castles than any other county in the UK.
