About

We are an innovative food production business in a beautiful building on the edge of the outstandingly beautiful Menai Strait. Our one-of-a-kind tour is recommended for anyone interested in salt’s place in our history, culture, food and in what makes Halen Môn Sea Salt PDO the world’s finest seasoning. Led by a trained guide, the tour includes a tutored salt tasting and lasts approximately 50 minutes. The experience offers visitors a real flavour of our company.

As well as being where our hand-harvesting process takes place, our Saltcote has a contemporary, design-led gift shop, and an outdoor cafe which celebrates seasonal ingredients. There is plenty of parking for both cars and bikes.

We are open between 10am-5pm every day all year (except for a 12-day closure over the Christmas and New Year period). Tours run daily at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Please book by phone on 01248 430871 if doing so on the day, or drop us an email if you’d like to book in advance: hello@halenmon.com.

Whilst children are welcome to join the tour, it is primarily designed for adults.

Our shop is open 10am-5pm every day for those who just want to stock-up on the best seasoning money can buy.

We very much look forward to welcoming you.
