About

This visitor and community centre is centrally located on the banks of the River Severn alongside Back Lane car park, and forms an attractive gateway to Newtown’s green and blue spaces.

Hafan Yr Afon is dog friendly with a Bistro / Café that has both indoor seating and outside under cover terrace seating, an accessible toilet with full size height adjustable changing table. The amazing food along with the selection of coffee’s and drinks can be eaten in or take away. There is a small retail area selling a range of gifts and products produced by local artisan crafts people

On the first floor accessed via the lift or stairs we have a function room for hire, ideal for meetings, presentations, conferences, classes, craft fairs, children's parties and private dining. Adjoining the balcony we have the “Cwtch” a small informal area with comfortable furniture suitable for smaller less formal meetings.  It provides the ideal meeting place situated on the Back Lane Car park and is the gateway to Newtown’s green spaces alongside the River Severn.
