Bryn Tanat Hall Estate is a beautiful collection of self-catering properties set across 15 acres on the Shropshire–Mid Wales border, nestled in the peaceful Tanat Valley. Surrounded by rolling countryside, the estate sits close to the Berwyn Mountains, with landmarks such as Rodney’s Pillar and the wider Mid Wales landscape nearby. With Shropshire and the Welsh Borders on the doorstep, it’s a peaceful rural base for exploring the countryside, historic towns and local attractions.

At the heart of the estate is Bryn Tanat Hall, a magnificent 17th-century country house sleeping up to 28 guests across 14 bedrooms. Alongside the Hall, Pinelands Lodge and Kowloon Park Lodge each sleep up to 8, with stylish open-plan interiors, private hot tubs and views across the surrounding parkland.

For couples, Mercury Eco Cabin offers a peaceful escape designed for relaxation, whether you’re looking for a romantic overnight stay, a restorative weekend or a relaxing spa break.

Every property combines the freedom of self-catering with comfort and luxury, with fully equipped kitchens, stylish interiors and private hot tubs.

Guests can also enjoy the on-site Wellness Spa, offering treatments from beauty and massage to restorative spa experiences, alongside a private spa suite with hydrotherapy hot tub, infrared sauna and rain-drench shower. There’s also a fitness suite, tennis court and beautiful gardens to enjoy.

Stay in a single property for a private getaway, or book multiple properties or the entire estate exclusively for larger celebrations, family gatherings, group getaways, corporate stays and retreats.

Road Directions

Bryn Tanat Hall is conveniently located on the Shropshire–Mid Wales border, less than two hours from Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.

From the South – Birmingham / London Take the M54 towards Shrewsbury, then join the A5 towards Oswestry.

From the North – Manchester / Liverpool Take the M56 and A483 towards Wrexham, then join the A5 towards Oswestry.

The final approach From the A5, follow signs for Oswestry until you reach Mile End Roundabout. Take the A483 towards Welshpool.

At Llynclys Crossroads, turn right onto the A495 towards Llansantffraid. Continue along the A495 until you see the sign for Llansantffraid on your left.

Turn left towards the village and continue along the road. Bryn Tanat Hall is on your left-hand side, just before you reach Llansantffraid.

Public Transport Directions

Bryn Tanat Hall is set in a peaceful rural location on the Shropshire–Mid Wales border, with good rail connections from across the UK. The nearest stations are Gobowen, Welshpool and Shrewsbury, with connections to major cities including Birmingham, Manchester and London.

However, public transport is limited once you arrive in the area. For this reason, we recommend travelling by car or hiring a car for your stay, particularly if you plan to explore the surrounding countryside, towns and local attractions.

If travelling by train, please arrange your onward taxi journey in advance. Taxi availability in this rural area can be limited, and last-minute bookings may not be possible.
