About
Historical and archaeological research work over the last 27 years has revealed a much more complex and richer narrative for the origins, development and post-Dissolution story of this very important site in Welsh culture. The day will be split into four parts: 1. Origins and the contexts for creation; 2. the growth and decline of the abbey; 3. the Stedman occupation of the site up to the building of their house in 1670; and 4. a guided tour of the site and its main features.
Tea and Coffee will be provided but please bring your own lunch.
