Llanwrtyd Wells welcomes cyclists back for one of its most unusual annual events this November, as the Real Ale Wobble takes riders out into the beautiful countryside surrounding Britain's smallest town.

The day offers a choice of two mountain bike routes, approximately 15 or 28 miles, giving participants the chance to enjoy forests, hills and open landscapes along the way. There are some more challenging sections for those who fancy testing their skills, with alternative options available at certain points for riders who would rather take things a little easier.

The cycling is only half the story. The event has become well known for combining an energetic day outdoors with Llanwrtyd Wells' love of good beer and a friendly social atmosphere. Refreshment stops help keep riders going along the route, while locally produced real ale can be enjoyed once the day's riding is complete. Food, hot drinks and alcohol-free refreshments are also available.

Registration opens at Bromsgrove Hall from 08:00 to 09:30, giving everyone time to prepare before the riders head off together at 10.00am.

After the bikes have been put away, the celebrations continue in Llanwrtyd Wells, where the town's beer festival adds to the weekend atmosphere with real ales, ciders, perries and live entertainment.
