About

Parc Cwm Darran visitor centre is open during the Spring and summer months has a coffee shop, exhibition area and information point. There are picnic benches and BBQ facilities throughout the park together with an obstacle course for older children and smaller playground for younger children. .

A scenic walk and cycle path runs from the Park to Bargoed. For the active, there is cycling, orienteering, walking and coarse fishing as well as several self guided trails around the lake and through the woodlands.

Educational visits can also be arranged, by contacting the park staff for information.

There is also camping available with 20 hitches - please check whether currently open. 10 non electrical and 10 with electricity

Road Directions

By Road:From south, M4 junction 32, follow the A470 then A468 to Caerphilly. Take A469 up the valley (north) past Bargoed. The park signposted from Bargoed. The entrance is about half a mile north of Deri.

Accessible by Public Transport: Bargoed station is 5 miles away.
