This 19th century stone barn has been converted to a high standard to offer bright and airy accommodation for 5 (1 X double and 1 X triple room) in a farmyard setting overlooking the farms own fields and views of the rolling countryside.
The oldest parts of Capel Bach Farm were built in the 18th century, Red Kite Cottage is a barn converted in 2007.
You will be hosted in this Award-Winning cottage by a Carmarthenshire Ambassador and Airbnb Superhost on hand to help you choose the best places to visit to maximise your stay in the County. The cottage is rural yet not remote and just 3 miles from Carmarthen is ideally situated to discover Carmarthenshire's castles, beaches, coastline, forests and towns in all directions and offers country walks from the doorstep.
The access to the cottage is from the lower entrance to Capel Bach Farm where a private fenced, gated and gravelled area provides ample parking for several cars. From here you access an enclosed raised patio area, with seating and large table for outdoor dining.
The main doors to the cottage are the French doors that lead from the patio. Please see our pictures of the cottage in the menu on the left, the inside being furnished for comfort and style, with oil fired central heating for your comfort.
Red Kite Cottage is located just 1 mile from the A485 Carmarthen to Lampeter road on the outskirts of the village of Peniel

Road Directions

By Road:
at end of M4 continue on A48 to carmarthen. At roundabout turn right and follow H signs for hospital along bypass.at end of bypass turn right at roundabout on A485 to lampeter. Proceed up hill to vaillage of Peniel. In Peniel take 2nd turn right, follow through houses out of village. At T junction turn left (Capel y Groes 3/4 mile) Go over 2 stone bridges , up hill, small church ahead of you. Bearing left around corner past church wall and two houses , stay on road and Red Kite Cottage is next

train to Carmarthen station. taxi rank located outside.bus to A485 1 mile from cottage
