About

The British Bird of Prey Centre is open 363 days of the year for you to visit our birds in their specially designed aviaries. You'll be able to experience the thrill of seeing our birds fly free during our three unique and exciting flying displays. These are designed to showcase the birds natural flying styles including hovering Kestrels and Red Kites eating mid flight! Our centre is the only place in Wales to see a Golden Eagle and White-tailed Sea Eagle flying!

David Attenborough famously said “No one will protect what they don't care about; and no one will care about what they have never experienced”. We aim to inspire future generations with up close encounters.

With this in mind we’ve created our sought after, hands on experiences. These offer visitors the chance to fly birds themselves. Owl and Kite group flying sessions are held daily at the centre and give you the opportunity to spend 30 minutes having our beautiful birds fly to your gloved hand. These are available each day but limited to 10 people participating per session to ensure you have the best possible time. We advise booking in the shop on arrival.

For those who want to have a truly immersive experience we offer three private flying experiences.

* Owl Encounter - 1.5 hours flying three different owls
* Hawk Walk - 1.5 hours flying hawks
* Half Day - 2.5 hours flying four iconic British birds.

All of our experiences encourage people to discover more about our fabulous birds and create memories that will last a lifetime!
