Set within a sheltered coastal valley on the North Pembrokeshire Coast, the Geodesic Glamping Dome at Preseli Glamping offers a distinctive woodland escape just moments from the sea. Hidden in a peaceful clearing of ancient woodland and reached via a meadow path alive with wildflowers, this unique stay combines comfort, seclusion and a deep connection to nature.

The dome is a beautifully crafted wood-and-canvas structure, raised on a solid timber platform beneath a canopy of twisting branches. A large bay window opens the space to the surrounding woodland, filling the interior with natural light and offering views of shifting leaves by day and star-filled skies by night. Inside, soft furnishings, gentle lighting and a wood-burning stove create a warm and restful retreat from spring through to autumn.

Sleeping up to four guests, the dome features a double bed, a single bed and a fold-out single sofa bed—ideal for couples, families or small groups looking for a memorable glamping experience with a sense of privacy and calm.

Outside, the dome’s private setting invites guests to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures. Sun loungers offer a place to unwind among the trees, while a fire pit and separate fire bowl with grill make it easy to cook outdoors and gather under the evening sky. A picnic table completes the space, perfect for relaxed meals surrounded by birdsong. There is also room nearby for a small pup tent if older children prefer their own sleeping space.

Tucked away at the foot of the valley and sheltered from coastal breezes, the dome feels like a tranquil, sunlit haven. Despite its secluded feel, it is just a short walk from the campsite’s facilities and from footpaths leading through bluebell woodland to Abermawr Beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

TENT AND CAMPERVAN PITCHES

Alongside the woodland dome, Preseli Glamping offers a small, thoughtfully designed campsite with a choice of spacious grass tent pitches and two large campervan pitches.

The car-free meadow tent pitches are scattered among wildflowers and young trees, each with its own sense of space and privacy. Upper meadow pitches enjoy far-reaching views down the valley towards the sea, while lower pitches are more sheltered, edged by woodland and rich in birdsong and wildlife.

Two generous hardstanding campervan pitches sit at the top of the meadow, each with additional grassy space for a small tent, plus a picnic table and fire pit. From here, guests can take in sweeping views across the valley towards the coast.

Every pitch includes a private picnic table and fire pit with cooking grill, offering a relaxed, back-to-basics camping experience with added comfort.

WALKING AND COASTAL EXPLORATION

Preseli Glamping is ideally placed for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with walks beginning directly from the site. A network of footpaths winds through woodland and along the valley to the secluded sands of Abermawr Beach and the Coast Path.

The surrounding coastline is rich in natural beauty and history, with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, volcanic headlands and ancient sites to discover. Wildlife is abundant, with regular sightings of grey seals, harbour porpoises and a wide variety of seabirds.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

Guests can enhance their stay with a wide range of outdoor experiences available through nearby Preseli Venture. Activities include coasteering, surfing, sea kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing and climbing, as well as guided e-mountain biking.

For a slower pace, visitors can enjoy wood-fired sauna sessions by the coast, yoga retreats and classes, or boat trips to the offshore islands—making it easy to tailor each stay to be as active or as restful as desired.
