About

Pant-y-Celyn is a cosy, ground-floor studio apartment offering relaxed, dog-friendly self-catering in the rural village of Llwyncelyn, Ceredigion. Just a short drive from the colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron and a gentle walk from the small shingle beach at Gilfach-yr-Halen, it’s a peaceful base for exploring the Cardigan Bay coast and countryside.

From Pant-y-Celyn you can join around 60 miles of the Cardigan Bay Coast Path, with far-reaching sea views, quiet coves and good chances of spotting dolphins and seabirds. The Moody Cow restaurant, pub and farm shop are within walking distance along a peaceful country lane, and there is a handy village store and post office close to the apartment for everyday essentials.

Aberaeron, just 2 miles away, is known for its pretty harbour, independent shops and restaurants serving locally sourced seafood and produce. The town hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, celebrating everything from seafood to cider, making it a lively place to visit in every season.

Inland, you can follow the lush Aeron Valley and visit the National Trust mansion and gardens at Llanerchaeron. It’s only a few miles from Pant-y-Celyn and can be reached by car or on foot by those who enjoy a longer countryside walk. Enjoy a coffee and cake here before taking a leisurely stroll back along the old railway path through beautiful woodland.

Along the coast, the beaches and coves at Cwm Tydu, Llangrannog, Tresaith and Aberporth are all within easy driving distance, offering sandy beaches, coastal walks and places to eat. For more adventurous days out, nearby Llain Activity Centre offers high ropes, archery and climbing, while Adventure Beyond provides activities such as coasteering, white water rafting and canoeing.

The bustling fishing village of New Quay is also close by, with sandy beaches, boat trips to see dolphins, and opportunities for surfing and kayaking. To the south, the Teifi Valley offers walking, kayaking and fishing on a river renowned for its sewin and salmon.
