Glandyfi Castle is a private-hire, self-catering castle near Machynlleth in Mid Wales, set above the Dyfi estuary. Available on an exclusive-use basis, it works well for groups of family or friends who want space to relax and celebrate together.

Inside, there are 11 individually styled bedrooms sleeping 22, with a mix of bedrooms suited to couples, friends and families. There's several social spaces, including a Drawing Room, Library, Games Room, Media Room, Billiards Room and grand Atrium for dining. Outside, guests can enjoy extensive gardens and grounds with estuary views, along with a hot tub for unwinding at the end of the day. Dogs are welcome, so four-legged family members can join the break too.

The castle suits birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions and general get togethers where everyone can stay under one roof. A comfortable base for exploring Machynlleth, Aberdyfi and the wider Mid Wales coast and countryside.

Road Directions

Glandyfi Castle is on the A487 coast road between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth in Mid Wales. It's a 20 minute drive from Aberystwyth and 10 minutes from Machynlleth, with clear road access north and south along the Ceredigion coast and inland towards Shrewsbury and the Midlands.

There is ample parking at the castle for up to 20 vehicles, and payable EV charging facilities.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest mainline station is Machynlleth, a 10 minutes drive away from Glandyfi Castle. There are direct train services from Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury to Machynlleth, with connections from across the UK. Transfers can then be arranged by pre-booked taxi to the castle.
