Katrina is an American-born British singer who fronted the band Katrina and the Waves.

Katrina became internationally famous with their 1985 hit Walking on Sunshine, and later won the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 representing the UK with Love Shine a Light, which remains one of the contest’s most decisive victories.

After leaving the band in the late 1990s, Katrina continued performing as a solo artist, often billed simply as “Katrina (formerly of Katrina and the Waves).” Her live shows still lean heavily on the band’s classic hits along with newer material, and she’s remained a popular act on nostalgia and festival circuits across the UK and Europe.
