The Royal Mint Experience is the only place in the world where you can watch the United Kingdom’s coins being made. Go behind the scenes to follow the journey of a coin from a blank to a bank in our Guided Factory Experience.

VIP Experience
The VIP Tour includes an exclusive talk from a curator of The Royal Mint Museum, which hosts a world-famous collection of rare historic coins, medals and precious numismatic artefacts that aren’t on public display. This spectacular tour includes visits to the commemorative coin production line along with lunch and afternoon refreshments at the café.

Road Directions

The Royal Mint Experience is approximately 4 miles (6.4km) from Junction 34 of the M4. Take the A4119 towards Llantrisant. Go through two sets of traffic lights. At the roundabout, take the second exit, continuing on the A4119 through two sets of traffic. At the next roundabout, take the fourth exit onto Heol y Sarn. The Royal Mint Experience car park is the third turning on the left. Sat Nav postcode CF72 8YT

By Bus - The nearest bus stop is Ely Valley Road, Ynysymaerdy Industrial Estate, which is approximately a 5-10 minute walk from The Royal Mint Experience.

By Train - The nearest train station is Pontyclun, approximately 4 miles (6.4km) away, with hourly connections to Cardiff Central.
