Located 28 miles south of Shrewsbury and 23 miles north of Hereford, the town of Ludlow is significant in the history of the Welsh Marches and neighbouring Wales which is 14 miles to the west.
Abergele is an old Roman town situated on the north coast of Wales between the resorts of Colwyn Bay and Rhyl in the county borough of Conwy. The town itself lies off the A55 and is surrounded by woodland covered hillsides.

North Powys
Cadair Berwyn mountain summit (Y Berwyn or Mynydd y Berwyn) is the highest point in the Berwyn Mountain range at 2723 ft (830 meters). It can be accessed via Pistyll Rhaeadr which is north-west of Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, on the B4580.
Perched on top of a hill, all roads into Ruthin seem to lead to St Peter’s Square in the centre. Visitors come here to admire the mix of architectural styles, the excellent specialist shops, and good eating places.
