About the event
Cynefin: A warm welcome to all!

Welcome to Cynefin, a vibrant weekend celebration dedicated to the harmony between sustainable agriculture, wildlife conservation, and community spirit.

"Cynefin" is a Welsh word that refers to a sense of place, habitat, and belonging - the very essence of the connection between farmers, their land, and nature.

Join us for a unique two-day festival and conference at the stunning Llangorse Multi Activity Centre. We are bringing together farmers, conservationists, policymakers, and nature lovers to celebrate the vital - and often unrecognised - role that farmers play in stewarding the Welsh environment.

Saturday: Insights & entertainment

The weekend kicks off with a deep dive into restorative land management. Our Saturday talk lineup includes:

Grazing is amazing: Discover the multiple benefits of strategic livestock management.

Boundaries with benefits: A comprehensive look at the secret life of hedgerows.

From Farm to flight: Exploring the vital role of farms in Curlew conservation.

Get your hands dirty with practical demonstrations, including a hedgerow safari and soil health analysis. We are also honoured to host keynote speaker Alun Elidyr, followed by an evening of live music, drinks, and merriment.

Sunday: Collaboration & connection

The focus shifts to the wider horizon on Sunday, featuring:

Beyond the fence line: A session on the power of collaborative farming for landscape health.

Farm walk and talk: An immersive guided tour of the land.

Closing plenary: A final gathering to reflect and look ahead.
