Harlech railway station is on the Cambrian Coast Line from Machynlleth to Pwllheli.
Ruthin
This large forest lies to the north of the B5105 on the Hiraethog Moors. It has some of the best and most well managed coniferous plantations in Wales. It has hundreds of hectares of forest over 50 years old.
The walled city of Chester lies on the River Dee just east of the border with Wales. It serves as a gateway to north Wales via the A55 Expressway and all trains for the North Wales Coast line run from the city.

There are many ways up and down the Sugar Loaf. This walk starts on the west of this striking and distinctly shaped hill in the small village of Llangenny (240180), just to the east of the bridge over the Grwyne Fawr.

Llanfair Caereinion in Montgomeryshire's Banwy Valley is one of the smallest towns in Powys. Almost 3,000 people lived here in the mid 19th century when the woollen industry was at its peak.

Mold bus station is located off the A494 in the town centre with services from/to Chester, Wrexham, Flint, Mold, Ruthin and Denbigh.

Llandovery
