About

The 2025 Welsh National Sheepdog Trials at Trofarth will be a three-day event, with 150 dogs competing for a place in the Welsh team at the International Trials to be held in Chirk in September. 

Competitors from all over Wales will be taking part in the event, showcasing their skills relating to the tradition of commanding sheepdogs.

The event is one for all to enjoy. Encouraging the local community to come and support the handlers, as well as visitors to the area.  

It’s an unique opportunity to experience an age-old sport at its finest, still essential to most farmers in their day to day lives when working in the sheep industry.
