Ponterwyd, Aberystwyth
Bwlch Nant yr Arian is famous for feeding red kites daily. Range of waymarked walking, mountain biking, running and horse-riding trails and a mountain bike skills park. Café, shop and play area.

Coed y Bont is a community woodland situated on the edge of the village of Pontrhydfendigaid in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains. The woodland is recognised as a Dark Sky Discovery Site.

Ruthin
This large forest lies to the north of the B5105 on the Hiraethog Moors. It has some of the best and most well managed coniferous plantations in Wales. It has hundreds of hectares of forest over 50 years old.

Clarach South beach lies about a mile along the Ceredigion Coast Path over Constitution Hill from Aberystwyth, or about three miles through a nature reserve and the village of Llangorwen.

New Quay’s Harbour Beach has stunning golden sands to rival any and has become a favourite for fishing and water sports enthusiasts. New Quay’s other beaches are Dolau & Traeth Gwyn.

The south-facing beach of Whitmore Bay at Barry Island is a sweeping crescent of perfect golden sand flanked by a wide promenade. Lots of seaside attractions, fun fair, beach huts, traditional fish and chips and coffee shops.

Parkwood Outdoor Dolygaer, Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil is a purpose built residential centre set in 11 acres of grounds, adjacent to reservoirs, woodland and in a close proximity to the peaks of the Brecon Beacons.

Blaina (Y Blaenau) is a small town (population 4,800) situated deep within the South Wales Valleys between Brynmawr and Abertillery.
Aberhonddu | Brecon
Starting from Brecon Cathedral and a residential part of town, the walk takes you to a superb vantagepoint, Pen y Crug, surmounted by the ramparts and ditches of an Iron Age hill-fort.
Isle of Anglesey
Rhosneigr lies on Anglesey’s Western shore. With its two broad sandy beaches, Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan, it is a popular centre for all watersports.
