Visit the stunning Glaslyn Valley in Snowdonia and see breeding ospreys in the spring and summer close to the Pont Croesor Visitor Centre near Porthmadog. Enjoy live images from our high definition cameras of these magnificent birds of prey on their nests. Learn about the fascinating lives of our resident osprey families from knowledgeable and friendly volunteers and you can use telescopes for close up views of the nests. 

Watch fish deliveries to the nest, chicks feeding and fledging on screen and see these iconic birds soaring high above you.

Enjoy unparalleled views of the ospreys through high quality telescopes from the spacious hide.  Understand the importance of Glaslyn Ospreys in the story of osprey recovery in the UK. 

Glaslyn Ospreys is open daily from March to September. Light snacks and refreshments are available. Dogs on leads welcome.

No admission charge, but the small independent charity welcomes a suggested donation of £3 per adult. Check opening dates and times on the website. www.glaslynwildlife.co.uk

Road Directions

The viewing site is on the B4410 at Pont Croesor which is between the villages of Prenteg and Llanfrothen, the nearest town is Porthmadog around two miles away. Take the A487 north from Porthmadog and turn right onto the A498 at Tremadog. Turn right onto the B4410 after approximately 2 and a half miles.
